Michael Drust -Regions Beyond Albania
In November of 2001, my wife Debby and I, along with our children, began our missionary journey to the country of Albania, Eastern Europe. Over the last 24 years, we have had the privilege of seeing many Albanian lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, resulting in the planting of several churches for the glory of God.
In addition to church planting, we are partnering to train nationals through a comprehensive program of Biblical studies, ministry logistics, missiology, cross-cultural linguistic training, and crisis contingency planning for the mission field. Additionally, some students may be required to do an internship program. All training is achieved through the GoMission Institute – Albania and the Go Mission Institute – Latin America. To date, 24 Albanian and Latin Americans have been trained and serving as missionaries in Albania, Macedonia, Kurdistan (Iraq), and Ethiopia (East Africa).
In 2014, we established the Advancing the Gospel Project. This ministry is dedicated to reaching refugees with their physical and spiritual needs in crises. Reaching these people with the Gospel is a top priority. To date, we have had the privilege of helping thousands of refugees from Middle Eastern countries, most recently in Ukraine. The ministry there is ongoing with people on the ground, helping to facilitate humanitarian needs as well as gospel literature shipping and distribution. We have seen many people come to know Christ during this outreach.
We are so grateful for God’s calling on our lives that He continues to use us to reach the Albanian people and the regions beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
