Please pray for Ernest Offredo(guy in the middle) I have bumped into him during the Thanksgiving morning pheasant hunt the last couple of years. He was more open to the gospel this year but still needs to be saved!

Dear Pastors and praying friends,
We trust everyone has had a great holiday season during Christmas and New Years! Meetings tend to slow down through December, but we are excited for everything God will do in the upcoming year. Whether you have made any New Years resolutions, I would encourage you to spend more time in prayer during this new year. It was just last night I read in Acts 12:5 “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Its amazing how Peter showed up at the door that night! They could hardly believe it! May this year be the year we put some true faith behind our prayers, but also, may we have a prayer life rather than a prayer time!
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. You are all such a great blessing to Sixth Day Outdoor Ministry and also the Barnett family. 2022 was an exciting year! We had many souls make professions of faith in Christ, but also countless opportunities of sharing the gospel and watching the Holy Spirit cut to the heart! Paul said, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” Heaven will be sweet one day when we actually see all the true converts by our obedience to the Lord! This past year we were also able to ship out over 5,000 gospel tracts at no cost along with printing as well. Thank you to those who have graciously given to the tract ministry. If God will allow, we are praying to design a pheasant tract before the fall season. Artwork and the illustration are two things to consider when praying for this new tract.
God allowed us to travel to 11 different states throughout the U.S. God continues to open up new doors for Sportsmen’s Banquets, Shooting events, Missions Conferences, and even church camp this upcoming year. Please continue to pray as we still have plenty of schedules still needing to be filled! We had many good days of soulwinning during the fall hunting season! There were two young men that professed Christ during these days, but we also had many good opportunities to preach the gospel. I wish I could write a page or two of all the great connections we had during these big days, but one specifically was with a preacher’s son. His truck was full of hunters as I stopped to offer some tracts. He was telling me how his dad was a preacher when I responded, “are you born again?” He looked a bit empty when he said, “no.” I’m not always so quick to the point, but felt the Holy Spirit led me to say something along the lines of, “how sad it is that a preacher’s son would die and go to hell.” He responded, “thanks for being positive.” I went on to tell him that I was just trying to be truthful and that I cared about him. It was obvious he was convicted as he stepped back to the truck. I passed him later that day and he actually waved as he went by. It still seemed as if he was being burdened with conviction. Please pray for this man to be saved.
We have mentioned in past letters about the 25ft enclosed trailer God has provided for the ministry. We have been praying diligently for God to fill the trailer with equipment that can be used to help local churches in a greater way. Our biggest need right now is for a ¾ ton 4×4 crew cab pickup truck. We would like to stay with a bigger gas engine since it will be plenty sufficient enough for the trailer. Our prayer is to have archery equipment, targets, utility vehicle for setting courses, insurance, and even a trailer wrap that will draw folks to the gospel as we travel across the country. Please pray that God will provide all these needs as we serve Him through 2023.
