As we traveled in Eastern Ukraine, we were as close as 3 miles from the Russian border to the north, and as far south as Donetsk Oblast. There in the village of Rubsti, the people had been under Russian occupation for 6 months, and only a week earlier had received electricity, but still had no water. No matter what village we visited, nor what size the group, what a joy it was to share the “hope” of Christ with people that desperately need hope. The stories we heard of Russian occupation and the destruction we saw were overwhelming, but through these difficulties, doors of grace were opened by the Lord. Please pray for the precious children of Ukraine. We saw some especially dear ones during our travels.
Meet Tanya, orange sweater, who lives in Fesky, Ukraine. We held an evangelistic outreach in Fesky and afterwards Tanya shared that without our aid, she didn’t know how she’d make it. She has two teenage sons at home, and hasn’t been able to work at the factory due to the war. She attended the Bible study in Fesky this Saturday! Your “compassion for Ukraine” is “making a difference.”
What a joy to co-labor with such faithful men and women. “Striving together” for the gospel is both the richest and sweetest kind of fellowship. What amazing memories we bring back from our time of service together in Eastern Ukraine. Please pray for these and others not pictured, who continue to serve through great difficulties. Julie and I return from this trip with our souls burdened and our hearts touched.

Thank you for your continued prayers, and concern for Ukraine. If you’d like to give a gift to our fund, “Compassion for Ukraine” please see the giving instructions on the back of our prayer card, above. We can still purchase 11,000 pounds of aid for $7,000, which will feed over 600 people for about 3 weeks.
