In the Western region of Africa, there is a small country known as Sierra Leone. This beautiful coastal country has a growing ministry through the work of Fundamental Baptist Church Kenema under the leadership of Pastor John K. Flomo.
During the month of September, the ministry was a thriving center of the Lord’s work. Here is the update from Pastor Flomo.
Sunday Services
Our Sunday services saw an average attendance of 32 folks. We were able to distribute 112 Bibles and saw 23 people receive Christ as their Savior! Others were baptized and rededications were made.
Wednesday Evening Prayer Meetings
The mid-week services averaged 11 people.
Prayer Requests include –
- The church needs a bathroom facility
- The completion of the floor, and a baptismal pool
- For new converts to continue coming to church and grow in the Lord.
- Our partners in the USA
- A greater commitment to reach souls in our communities
- Mrs. Flomo’s health and for the Lord’s direction in treatment
- Mattia’s illness and for the Lord’s direction in finding the right doctor
- Jimmy’s job situation and for him to be able to work for the Lord also
- New church chairs
- Transportation for our people
Friday Bible Class
Our class size averaged 7 people for the month. We enjoyed great lessons on the Word such as the lesson: “The Importance of Witnessing”. After class we regularly went out visiting and applying what we learned. Many received Christ and we were able to distribute many Gospel tracts, the books of John and Romans as well.
Saturday Outreach
Each Saturday we saw our people out witnessing and evangelizing, especially in the new community of Tissor, Kenema. This month the fruits of our Saturdays saw nearly 40 or more accept Christ as their Savior. Many Gospel tracts, John, and Romans were distributed and people invited to church.
Brother Steve Holt and 3 of his church members joined us this month for a 3 day evangelism event where we canvassed the area to reach people for the Lord. We were able to give the Gospel to the whole town of Tissor as the town chief called all the people together to the town hall. Praise the Lord for this opportunity and for the souls saved.
